The Navvia User Story Express application allows User Stories and Technical Requirements initially created in the Navvia Process Designer to be imported directly into ServiceNow.
This significantly streamlines the capture of business requirements as User Stories then the assignment of those User Stories to developers.
The benefit is tighter alignment between the business outcomes and technical implementation. This reduces rework, minimizes waste, and cuts back on the back and forth between the business analyst and development by providing tighter requirements.
Once imported, corresponding User Stories are created in the Agile 2.0 plugin. All technical requirements initially captured in Navvia Process Designer to support the User Story are mapped to the corresponding ServiceNow User Story using many to many relationships.
A Navvia designed view presents the mapped requirements in the User Story form as a related list. The related list includes
- Process Document: The detailed Business Process flow diagrams
- Data Specifications: Any field that needs to be created in ServiceNow to support the process
- Tool Specifications: Non-data related requirements, for example, enable 2-factor authentication
- Process Triggers, States and State Transitions: Provides the necessary information to develop workflows within ServiceNow
- Notification Content and Notifications: Identifies the specific notification messages and who the messages go to
- Documents: any supporting document, such as a wireframe image, that provides context to the User Story
- Metrics: Any metrics that need to be captured by the process, providing insight into any required reports
- Tasks: The specific task (step in the process) to which this story relates
The integration is currently unidirectional, updated User Story information is not currently sent back to the Navvia Process Designer.
