Overview
Integrations for Manufacturing Commercial Operations enables automotive and heavy equipment OEMs to digitize their warranty repair claims process on the Now Platform. The application provides a STAR-compliant integration layer that allows dealer networks to submit repair claims and receive service advisories — all through standardized, industry-recognized data formats.
By bridging dealer management systems with ServiceNow's Manufacturing Commercial Operations (MCO) module, OEMs gain a centralized, auditable claims lifecycle without requiring dealers to change their existing tools or workflows.
Key Features
STAR-Compliant Repair Claim Submission — Dealers submit repair orders in STAR 5.x compliant format via a published SOAP endpoint on the OEM's ServiceNow instance. Incoming repair order data is automatically mapped to ServiceNow's MCO data model, creating a warranty claim record ready for processing.
Automated Service Advisory Responses — Once a claim is approved, rejected, or returned to the dealer for additional information, ServiceNow generates and transmits a service advisory back to the dealer in STAR-compliant format, closing the communication loop without manual intervention.
Dealer Integration via SOAP Web Services — A well-defined SOAP endpoint allows dealers and their DMS providers to integrate using the industry-standard protocol mandated by STAR. Standard WSDL contracts reduce onboarding time and ensure consistent data exchange across the dealer network.
Seamless Data Mapping — Industry-standard STAR repair order fields are mapped to ServiceNow's native MCO tables, preserving data fidelity while leveraging the full power of the Now Platform for downstream workflows, reporting, and analytics.
