Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Advanced Audit utilizes capabilities in other applications such as ServiceNow® Project Portfolio Management (PPM). These capabilities are important for audit planning. Additionally, the capabilities are designed to enhance engagements, milestones, and observations. Risk-based scoping using auditable units, resources, and cost planning is also available in Advanced Audit. Advanced Audit application includes the following features:
• Perform basic resource and cost planning.
• Perform detailed resource, cost planning, and track timecards using Project Portfolio Management (PPM) integration.
• Track observations as reportable issues or simply close them as recommendations or best practices.
• Track engagement milestones.
• Mark engagements, audit tasks, issues, observations, remediation tasks, evidence requests, and evidence request tasks as confidential.
• Provide visibility to managers that are higher up in the hierarchy of the assigned owners of issues and remediation tasks.

The following GRC applications must be installed and active:
- GRC: Advanced Core (com.sn_grc_advanced)
- GRC: Audit Management (com.sn_audit)

- Role required to install the app: System Admin (admin)
When you upgrade the Advanced Audit application, ensure that the Audit Management Workspace and any other installed GRC applications are upgraded to the equivalent release version. For example, Advanced Audit version 18.x is certified to work with Audit Management Workspace version 18.x and other version 18.x GRC applications.
