Set rules and actions that control how configurable product offerings are configured during the opportunity, quote, and order processes. The engine uses the rules and actions that you set to display messages and appropriate product options and characteristics in the product configurator to help prevent invalid product configurations.
- Define a rule set, which is a grouping of configuration rules that are defined for a configurable product offer
- Support the following type of configuration rule actions: exclusion, inclusion, defaulting, setValue, and validation
- Support versioning and lifecycle status for rule set
- Evaluate rules and takes actions when a product gets configured, including making selections, hiding, enabling or disabling of options, setting up values and surfacing info or error messages to guide the user
Fixed:
- Oracle DB JSON column character limit in Config rule management tables by increasing max length to 10,000 characters and adding a fix script
