Supply Chain Exception Management (SCEM) from ServiceNow streamlines communication and collaboration across supply chain silos to reduce risk and maintain a resilient supply chain. It empowers supply chain teams to identify threats to the supply chain, determine root causes, coordinate and remediate exceptions, and improve processes and practices. It orchestrates workflow across multiple workgroups to reduce the time and impact that exceptions cause within an organization. It also provides greater visibility into the supply chain.
Landing page
- The main landing page serves as the initial destination for users involved in exception management. Its primary purpose is to provide users with a clear overview of the exception-related tasks they need to address, catering to their specific business needs. Users can also access a mirror of the Overview, which provides users with valuable exception-specific information.
Exception map
Exception reports
- Dashboard that shows the value of exception management as well as high-level trends and KPIs that can help signal where we can increase the resilience of the supply chain. It also details current supply chain initiatives using ServiceNow's Continual Improvement Management product.
Exception queue
- Incoming exceptions arrive in the queue to be classified, prioritized, and routed. Exceptions will fall off the queue when they are assigned to an assignee who is responsible for the resolution of the exception. The Exception queue automatically prioritizes the most urgent exceptions and ensures that no exception falls through the cracks.
Exception library
- The Exception library stores institutional knowledge about your supply chain, including information about exceptions, root causes, and standard operating procedures. The Exception library provides quick ways to triage and route exceptions and serves as the automation hub, where flows and playbooks can be attached to exception codes and root causes for faster resolution and automated exception deflection.
Exception remediation
- Remediation allows Supply Chain Managers to create remediation plans, either from scratch or by copying them from similar exceptions. They can assign tasks, create milestones, and easily manage overdue work.
