Voice input for Now Assist introduces intuitive voice-to-text capabilities within the Now Assist panel, enabling hands-free interaction. This feature enhances accessibility and user experience by enabling users to dictate messages instead of typing.
Microphone activation: A microphone icon appears in the Now Assist panel when the user preference and feature are enabled.
Chat integration and transcription: Users speak into their microphone and the audio is sent to a third-party transcription service. The transcribed text is automatically inserted into the Now Assist chat input box.
Accessibility and usability: Designed to support users with limited mobility or visual impairments, while also improving speed and ease of use for all users.
Defects fixed:
- Fixed now-voice-input to display browser's microphone as active and shows recording only when needed.
- Fixed the issue where now-voice-input can be disabled when needed.
