Provides UI capabilities for voice input in the Now Assist panel.
Voice input is an accessibility and usability feature that enables users to speak into a microphone to dictate text as an alternative to using the keyboard. ServiceNow is offering this feature as part of the 2025 Q1 store/Yokohama release.
This feature allows users to interact with the platform using their voice by speaking commands and dictating messages into the Now Assist panel.
When enabled, a microphone button appears in the Now Assist panel.
The user activates the button and then speaks into their microphone as their speech is recorded.
The recording is then sent to a third-party service for transcription and the transcript text of their audio is inserted into the Now Assist panel's chat input box.
Bug fixes:
- Fixed a permissions issue that would block certain users from uploading audio data to the server.
- Fixed an issue with a keyboard shortcut that prevented the shortcut from activating the listening session.
