State and local incident command centres are responsible for requesting, managing, and tracking resources in the event of an emergency. This requires the coordination of divisional and field resources across locations and incidents. This application enables administrators in both the central command center and field offices to coordinate how to assign, schedule, and activate resources down to the employee, activity, and day. It can also be used by other organizations who need to manage response resources.
This application:
- Enables Resource Unit Leaders (RESLs) and deputies to develop incident staffing plans
- Streamlines position assignments by location, dates, and expertise
- Provides centralized view of staffing status and schedule (requested, accepted)
- Allows automatic assignments and shadowing
- Automates resource activation through emails, eliminating phone calls
- Supports generally accepted federal standards
The app is one of the ServiceNow Emergency Response Management apps built on the Now Platform® to assist organizations in their emergency response efforts.
