The Service Graph Connector for BlueCat imports IP and network data from BlueCat Networks quickly, seamlessly, and securely. The Service Graph Connector for BlueCat enables you to pull such IP data to enrich ServiceNow's CMDB, enabling use cases such as incident management, change management, and service mapping, with smarter network planning, faster troubleshooting, and enhanced support.
The Service Graph Connector for BlueCat imports data consistent with the other connectors and the rest of the ServiceNow ITOM suite, ensuring your CMDB is clean, consistent, and fully aligned with all the network information across your environment. Its plug-and-play configuration is compatible with SGC Central, making it easy and straightforward to set up. The connector supports the use of tags from BlueCat and handles the life cycle of networks and IPs, giving you complete discretion on your policies.
The Service Graph Connector for BlueCat empowers use cases of IP Asset Management and therefore IT Operations Management.
The connector pulls the following classes into the ServiceNow CMDB:
- IP Pool
- IP Network Subnet
- Managed Network
- Allocated IP Address
The connector supports the following features:
Notifications: Creates a task in the IP Address Management Task table and assigns it to the preferred user group when a network is inserted or deleted from the CMDB CI IP Network Subnet table, based on the user-defined action preference (insertion or deletion).
Subnetwork filtering: Supports selective subnetwork filtering, allowing IP address data to be imported only from chosen networks. These subnetworks can be configured through the custom table SG-BlueCat Detailed Network Subnet.
Life cycle management: Implements life cycle management using soft deletion to retire CI records that are no longer present in the source platform or are excluded by the applied filters.
