FSM Task Bundling extends ServiceNow Field Service Management with intelligent, automated task grouping that helps dispatchers organize and assign work more efficiently. Instead of managing every work order task individually, dispatchers can group related tasks into bundles — treating each bundle as a single schedulable unit for dynamic scheduling and route optimization.
With FSM Task Bundling, administrators define policies and rules that automatically consolidate eligible tasks based on custom business criteria — such as assignment group, territory, task type, duration, or any field-level condition. Bundles are generated on demand or on a schedule, keeping dispatch queues organized and field teams focused.
- Configure rule-based policies that automatically group Draft work order tasks into bundles, without manual intervention
- Use condition builders or advanced scripting to precisely control which tasks get grouped together and how
- Target policies to specific assignment groups or territories, so bundling logic applies exactly where it's needed
- Set minimum/maximum task counts per bundle (up to 200), control bundle duration, and choose sort methods to optimize grouping outcomes
- Run bundling jobs on a recurring schedule, so dispatch queues stay organized without manual effort
- Trigger any policy instantly with "Bundle Now" for immediate, ad-hoc bundling when operational needs change
- Bundles work natively with Dynamic Scheduling and route optimization, treating each bundle as a single schedulable unit
- Configuration and execution restricted to the wm_admin role
