Ordr is an agentless solution that uses passive methods to automatically discover, accurately classify, and collect granular details for every asset connected to the network including traditional PCs, workstations, and servers, devices such as Internet of Things (IoT), Internet of Medical Things (IoMT), and Operational Technology (OT), and workloads deployed in cloud environments.
With Ordr and ServiceNow integration you’ll automate device discovery, maintain an accurate and up-to-date asset inventory in the ServiceNow CMDB, uncover devices with vulnerabilities and risk, identify and respond to active threats, and improve security with dynamically created Zero Trust policy for segmentation and network access control.
-
Simplify inventory management and security for every managed and unmanaged connected asset with an agentless, passive solution
-
Maintain an accurate, up-to-date asset inventory in the ServiceNow CMDB
o Import Medical/IoMT, IoT, OT, and IT devices into the CMDB using best practices (IRE / RTE)
o Get up and running in minutes with Guided Setup
o Schedule imports from Ordr to the ServiceNow CMDB
o Configure through sys_properties, Scripted Extension Points, and IntegrationHub ETL
Version 1.1.4
- This is a patch release containing a minor fix to OS classification. Previously, there was a bug causing some devices to be reclassified because the x_ordr_cmdb.classesAbleToReclassify system property was not being properly checked for the exact target CMDB class name. The bug has been fixed in this version.
Version 1.1.3
- This is a patch release containing minor fixes and improvements.
- Extension Point fix: The SGOrdrClassCalculator now references the proper Extension Point name.
- Entity class mapping fix: Previously, Ordr devices classified under the Group only (without Device Category) were mapped to the Hardware entity class. This could cause fields such as Operating System to not populate even if the target CI class was Computer. The SGOrdrDeviceGroupsDictionary has been updated so that Ordr Groups mapped to classes in the Computer hierarchy will also use the Computer entity class, ensuring that Computer-specific fields such as Operating System are properly mapped.
Version 1.1.2
- This is a patch release containing minor User Experience improvements.
- During setup, when selecting Ordr Device Groups to include or exclude, if the user is in the wrong scope, they will be shown a warning message and prompted to switch to the Service Graph Connector for Ordr scope.
- Improved error messaging for import failures. If the Ordr Device import fails, an error message will show in the system log directing the user to navigate to the Service Graph Connection record and test the connection.
Version 1.1.1
- This is a patch release to improve compatability for customers using versions of Ordr prior to 9.0.
- Ordr customers not using version 9.0 or above do not get the "secondarydevice" attribute from the API. Using it in scripts/conditions could cause errors and prevent devices from being created in the CMDB.
- ETL Script Operation Change: Modified the Script Operation targeting the "x_device_class_lookup" field. Removed logic checking the "secondarydevice" attribute.
- ETL Entity Condition Changes: Removed the condition "object.secondarydevice=false" from the Hardware 1 and Hardware 1 - Network Adapter 1 ETL entities.
- SGOrdrDeviceFlattener: Updated to include "assetinfo_assetid" by default, which gets mapped to the Asset Tag field on the resulting CI
Version 1.1.0
- Added support for new Hardware Cleanse operation to support ServiceNow EAM requirements for Medical Devices
- Added filtering ability to include/exclude importing of Ordr devices using a regex filter.
- Added ability to optionally map device Description from Ordr
- Added "Ordr" form view for several classes
- Added multiple network adapter mapping support
- Improved Device Group include/exclude filtering user experience
- Updated Guided Setup
Version 1.0.05
This release adds IH-ETL / RTE mapping to import and transform Ordr customScope properties into ServiceNow as CMDB Key Value pairs in the 'cmdb_key_value' table.
Version 1.0.04
This release is Certified for Vancouver compatibility and fixes a minor UI/UX issue by adjusting the "Devices - Healthcare" module to filter out Medical Devices.
Version 1.0.03
This patch release fixes a bug which was causing linux servers to be classified as windows servers and vice verse. It also improves classification fallbacks based on Ordr Group and corrects the classification of phones to fallback to Communication Hardware (cmdb_ci_comm_hardware) instead of Hardware.
We have also added a new Device Groups Dashboard to visualize CMDB population according to Ordr Device Groups (as represented by CMDB Key Value pairs).
Version 1.0.0
This initial release of the Service Graph Connector for Ordr allows you to import data from the Ordr API and populate the CMDB, including IT / IoT / IoMT Healthcare & Medical Devices, with everything seen on your network according to Service Graph Connector best practices.
