Map Integrations for Field Service lets organizations connect a travel estimate provider to FSM, improving the accuracy of travel time estimates used in scheduling and task assignment.
Beans.ai is supported out of the box, providing more precise travel time estimates and automatically excluding locations that fail geocoding validation or aren't reachable by road. Third-party map providers are also supported using the same configuration process, with credentials and API authentication handled at setup.
More accurate travel estimates mean better scheduling windows, cleaner assignments, and fewer surprises in the field.
The travel estimate providers supported OOTB are Beans.ai and other third-party providers.
- Beans.ai: Provides more accurate travel time estimates. Locations that are deemed invalid through geocoding or aren’t reachable by road are excluded from task assignments
- Third-party map providers: Supports third-party map providers to extend mapping capabilities. To configure a third-party map provider, follow the same configuration steps as Beans.ai. Enter your credentials and any required API keys or authentication details for the provider.

Beans.ai, a third-party map provider, can be configured using this plugin to determine travel estimation while scheduling. Necessary connection and credentials should be set up to use this feature.
