The SAP ABAP for Software Asset Management application supports licensing for named users and engine measurements for both SAP ERP Central Component (ECC) applications and SAP S/4HANA software.

You can use the SAP publisher pack to manage and optimize licensing for SAP NetWeaver 7.4, SAP_BASIS 740, and later versions.
To use the publisher pack, install the Software Asset Management Professional for SAP plugin (com.sn_samp_sap).
SAP system setup
- From your ServiceNow instance, activate the Software Asset Management Professional for SAP (com.sn_samp_sap) plugin.
- Download SAP transport files into your central SAP system. Verify that all objects are activated.
- Navigate to SOAMANAGER to set up a web-service HTTP connection for the /NOW/SAMP service definition.

Note:
1) The central SAP client (in which our product files are imported) will connect to other RFC SAP clients based on the selection provided from the /NOW/SAMP_RFC transaction code.
2) SAP targets are verified on SAP ECC, SAP S4 HANA, SAP GRC, and SAP Solution Manager systems.
3) The digital access feature is supported only in SAP ECC and SAP S4/HANA systems.
