Important: This store application supports Dynatrace Classic (v1/v2 APIs) and and is intended for Dynatrace Managed (self‑hosted) or legacy SaaS environments. Customers using or upgrading to the latest Dynatrace 3rd-generation SaaS platform should use the new Service Graph Connector for Dynatrace SaaS.
The Service Graph Connector for Observability - Dynatrace imports the following types of data from Dynatrace to ServiceNow CMDB:
- Hosts
- Processes
- Services
- Applications
A Service Map is created using the relationship between various applications, application services, and infrastructure elements.
(Optional) This version also adds the ability to configure the ingestion of events through Event Management and automatically correlates events to the discovered CIs. As additional contentual enrichment information for the events, metrics and logs are also imported and associated with the events.
- Accurately classifies Dynatrace output into the appropriate CI classes: Application, Application Services, and Servers.
- Eliminates superfluous data that would otherwise clutter the Service Maps.

- Process CI reconciliation against Discovery is improved across DB2, MSSQL, Apache, NGINX, IIS, and PostgreSQL, reducing duplicate process CIs.
- Windows application paths are normalized. Formatting differences don't create duplicate Application CIs now.

- The connector now links existing VM CIs to their Server CI using object ID matching, instead of creating a duplicate VM CI.

Usage of this Service Graph Connector requires a subscription to a Subscription Unit based IT Operations Management (ITOM) Visibility or ITOM Discovery application. Managed IT Resources (as defined in Section 1.1 of the ServiceNow Subscription Unit Overview - https://www.servicenow.com/content/dam/servicenow-assets/public/en-us/doc-type/legal/servicenow-subscription-unit-overview.pdf) created or modified in the CMDB by this Service Graph Connector, but not yet managed by ITOM Visibility or ITOM Discovery, will increase Subscription Unit consumption within that application. Customers should review their current Subscription Unit consumption within ITOM Visibility or ITOM Discovery to ensure available capacity.
