This application is intended to do the following:
- Import Cisco NX-OS switches, as well as ACI, NDFC, NDO discovered devices into ServiceNow CMDB
- Import Cisco ACI, NDFC, and NDO set up relationships (between devices set up in the app infrastructure of thoes products) into CMDB to populate CI's and/or CI relationships
- Discovered inventory consists of both physical topology and logical, application topology
- Physical topology comprised of: Fabric switches, line cards, power supply units, fan trays, system images, and more
- Logical, application topology comprised of: Tenants, application profiles, endpoints, endpoint groups, security policies, VRF's, bridge domains, subnets, and more
- Import Cisco ACI health and faults, as well as NDFC alarms, into CDMB for incident management
- Configure various Cisco data center fabric components from ServiceNow using Service Catalog and Flow Designer
- Help customers define relationships between Cisco data center fabric imported data and broader, existing CDMB data (using either the app's "Custom Relationships" feature, or the app's integration with ServiceNow ETL Hub)
- Cisco ACI and Nexus Dashboard cluster supported
This integration is designed to help customers get as much value as possible from their joint ServiceNow-Cisco data center deployments. It gives them an easy way to import Cisco data center product-specific data into ServiceNow CMDB, provides them with centralized dashboard, paves the way for more automated ServiceNow ticketing, and gives customers a way to create service catalogs and orchestrate their Cisco data center fabrics using ServiceNow.
Cisco DC Networking Application uses the MID server to fetch the physical, application topology and cloud Inventory from Cisco ACI Fabric controller (APIC). This app adds support for application topology and cloud inventory from Cisco Nexus Dashboard Orchestrator (NDO; formerly Cisco Multi-site Orchestrator -- MSO) as well as from NX-OS 'standalone' switches. The app imports physical and application topology information to map to ServiceNow CMDB tables and it will also the existing relationships between fetched data elements. This app adds support for NDFC to fetch filtered alarms and automatically create ServiceNow incidents based on those alarms.
- Cisco ACI physical and application topology discovery is done through scheduled jobs and UI actions.
- Cisco cloud inventory discovery is also done through scheduled jobs and UI actions.
- Cisco NDO application topology discovery is done through scheduled jobs and UI actions.
- Cisco NX-OS 'standalone' switch discovery is also done through scheduled jobs and UI actions.
- Change management with and without approval workflows.
- ServiceNow's external credential store support for ACI configurations.
- Remote user access [TACACS+ / RADIUS].
- Incident/fault management.
- Multi-fabric discovery.
- Configure various Cisco components on APIC from ServiceNow using Service Catalog.
- Snapshot management
- Firmware upgrade for controllers and switches of Cisco ACI
- Dashboards for ACI, NDFC, NDO, NX-OS
- Cisco NDFC Alarm discovery and automatic incident creation
- Custom relationships feature and integration with ServiceNow ETL Hub (switches, controllers, and endpoint tables) to enable users to related app-imported data with their broader CMDB data and structures
- Support for Cisco DC fabric orchestration using ServiceNow Flow Designer
- MID-server cluster support -- Cisco APIC sites assigned to clusters to provide better resiliency and load balancing
A brand new app for Cisco data center products, like NDO, NDFC, ACI, MSO, NXOS. Customers can now manage all of their Cisco data center platforms in ServiceNow.
- The MID Server Should be able to ping the ServiceNow instance and MID server should be directly reachable to Cisco platform.
- Cisco product version should be compatible
