IGA Application Onboarding Hub is a ServiceNow-based application that automates the complete application onboarding lifecycle, from intake through onboarding into your identity governance platform.
Application owners and IT custodians complete guided, structured onboarding questionnaires with document uploads and draft management, while IAM teams get centralized visibility into status, missing information, and readiness. AI-assisted intakes can pre-fill a questionnaire from uploaded documentation, with every suggestion confirmed by a human before it counts toward readiness. Related applications, such as regional deployments, child systems, or dependencies like a database, can be linked as parent, child, and dependency records and tracked as one family instead of separate entries.
The platform also supports bulk onboarding via spreadsheet import, readiness scoring, clarification workflows, multi-wave rollouts, role-based collaboration, and audit trails. Once requirements are validated and reviewed, the application is marked Build Ready and the platform automatically generates and dispatches the completed package into the target platform, for example SailPoint, with no separate manual handoff.
IGA Application Onboarding Hub automates and governs the collection, validation, and preparation of application information required for onboarding applications into enterprise Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) platforms.
-
AI-assisted application intake uses existing documentation and application metadata to pre-populate onboarding information, with confidence scoring, supporting evidence, and human confirmation of AI-generated values.
-
Guided self-service onboarding provides structured, role-based questionnaires with auto-save, draft management, document uploads, conditional questions, and targeted follow-up requests.
-
Application decomposition and source mapping identifies application environments, account populations, access constructs, and potential IGA sources or interfaces required to govern an application.
-
Multi-source application support allows a single business application to be represented by multiple IGA sources or interfaces, including native application access, database schemas, Active Directory groups, and other access mechanisms.
-
CMDB and application inventory integration supports importing application information and reconciling onboarding candidates with existing application records and IGA coverage.
-
Readiness scoring and validation identifies missing required information, unresolved dependencies, and onboarding gaps before an application is designated IGA Ready.
-
Role-based collaboration routes business, technical, governance, and certification questions to the appropriate application owners, IT custodians, IAM/IGA teams, and reviewers.
-
Administrator review and approval workflows support clarification requests, controlled resubmission, evidence review, and explicit approval before IGA handoff.
-
IGA Readiness Queue and dashboards provide visibility into application status, onboarding progress, pending information, aging items, and applications ready for IGA implementation.
-
IGA onboarding package generation prepares validated application metadata, account and entitlement schemas, correlation information, provisioning capabilities, certification requirements, source recommendations, and supporting evidence for downstream implementation.
-
Configurable IGA integrations support controlled export or handoff of approved onboarding information to configured target IGA platforms and integration endpoints.
-
Configurable AI provider support allows organizations to connect approved AI services and govern AI-assisted onboarding through configurable provider settings and prompt/skill definitions.
-
Bulk application onboarding and wave management support large IGA transformation programs involving hundreds of applications across multiple rollout phases.
-
Automated notifications and reminders help application owners and technical stakeholders complete assigned onboarding activities on time.
-
Comprehensive audit history records onboarding activity, AI-assisted recommendations, user confirmations, reviewer decisions, clarification requests, and integration actions.

System Requirements
-
ServiceNow Yokohama or Zurich or Australia release.
-
ServiceNow System Administrator access is required for initial application installation and configuration.
-
Outbound HTTPS connectivity is required for configured external integrations, including AI providers and target IGA platforms.
-
Appropriate ServiceNow roles and permissions must be assigned to application administrators, reviewers, application owners, and technical custodians.
-
AI-assisted functionality requires configuration of a supported AI provider and valid provider credentials or credential references.
-
Target IGA integration features require connectivity and appropriate API credentials or authorization to the configured IGA platform.
-
Customer environments must permit required outbound REST/API communication from ServiceNow.
Other Requirements:
-
Outbound HTTPS access from ServiceNow to any configured AI provider and target IGA platform.
-
Valid credentials, service accounts, API clients, or credential references for external integrations.
- AI-assisted functionality is optional. Core application intake, questionnaires, review, readiness, workflow, and onboarding management can be used without configuring an external AI provider.
-
AI-assisted intake requires a customer-configured supported AI provider, such as Microsoft Foundry or Google Vertex AI.
-
Target IGA handoff requires appropriate API access and authorization to the configured IGA platform.
-
Customers using CMDB import or reconciliation features must provide access to the applicable ServiceNow application/CMDB records.
-
Uploaded documents and application data must comply with the customer's security, privacy, and data-handling policies.
-
Internet or network access to external provider endpoints must be permitted by the customer's firewall, proxy, or egress controls.
