Upgrade Management enables administrators to efficiently plan, monitor, and execute ServiceNow platform upgrades. It provides a guided experience for upgrades while also offering standalone tools for power users who prefer manual upgrade management.
- Enable administrators to track and manage the upgrade status across multiple instances with real-time updates.
- Provide a centralized hub for all upgrade-related tools to support both guided and independent upgrade workflows.
- Integrate with the Management Interface Framework (MIF) to fetch status updates for all listed instances.
This is initial release of upgrade management console. This application is available from Yokohama onwards (not available for previous versions), any upcoming upgrades can be done via this application from instance. In this version, as part of "Schedule Upgrade" step, user has to perform few steps manually and then mark these steps as complete in Upgrade Management to continue with next step.
- Upgrade management console with default version will be installed with platform upgrade/install. Any further upgrades to this application can be done from the Store.
- The application currently uses other tools to perform upgrade including 1. Cloning 2. HI (Now Support) for upgrade
