- Data Discovery is a feature within Data Privacy, which is part of the ServiceNow Vault subscription entitlement.
- Data Discovery gives you the ability to discover sensitive data using out-of-the-box data patterns or by creating custom regex patterns to act on: for example, to classify, report, or view. It provides sensitive data with visibility and cataloging which is an essential first step towards preventing data loss or exposure. This enables organizations to implement appropriate security measures and increase their security posture.
- Discover data using OOB data patterns (e.g. credit card, SSN, phone number, email ID) or create and validate custom regex patterns , AI/ML named entity recognition(NER) data patterns
- Generate regular expressions from custom prompts using Now Assist
