Yokohama Patch 3, Yokohama, Xanadu Patch 3
ServiceNow Studio empowers platform developers with a modern, unified environment for building on the Now Platform. It features streamlined navigation to applications and metadata, integrated low-code tools, and efficient tracking and packaging of development work, accelerating the development process and enhancing productivity.
- Find applications and app files using Search, Code Search, and the File Navigator.
- Create applications and application files.
- Create and manage update sets.
- Publish changes to apps via Update sets, App Repo, and Pipelines.
- Bookmark applications and application files.
- Open applications and application files across multiple scopes with integrated tabs.
- See recently opened applications and application files.
- Search for metadata tables like Client Scripts or Business Rules using “Open List” in the File Navigator and “.list” commands in the Search bar.
- Leverage integrated low-code builders like Table Builder and Flow Designer to open supported application files.
- New
- The ServiceNow Studio File Navigator performance has been improved for large applications. Smaller apps load all files on open, while larger apps (exceeding a configurable limit) load a subset initially, with additional files available on demand. Search for files in larger apps will perform server-side calls to decrease load times. Contact your ServiceNow support team to change the app size limits.
- Easily identify apps created in Creator Studio or ServiceNow IDE by looking at the App Details page in ServiceNow Studio. Edit apps originally created in a different environment by opening them in that environment.
- The file creation experience is now a full-page, guided process with built-in security checks. Admins see all application files, while delegated developers only see file types they have permission to create within the specified scope.
- Users with Write permission for an application description can use Now Assist for app summary generation to generate an app summary. The Summarize button is disabled for users without access to edit the app description, preventing failures after clicking.
- There is Right-to-Left language support for ServiceNow Studio.
- ServiceNow Studio supports the latest security model for app shell tables.
- Changed
- The available options at the success page for creating an application changed from Go to app dashboard to View App Details and Create File.
