The Tanium Live UI for the ServiceNow platform provides a live interface for making critical performance data readily available directly from the ServiceNow console, enabling IT agents to more efficiently and effectively remediate incidents and enact changes. All without the need for remote access software or interrupting employee workflows.
Dependent on the ServiceNow application: Tanium SDK.
The primary use-case for the Tanium Live UI application is to assist helpdesk agents and IT administrators. It serves to make their jobs easier, making information more readily accessible to them, and allowing them to take actions on endpoints without needing to use remote access software and interrupt their or the user’s workflow; all in far less time than it would otherwise take them.
This application provides you with an interface that allows you to select a specific Tanium-managed endpoint or click "Launch Tanium Live UI" in an Incident or Change (with a CI) and be able to:
- See overall performance stats (including CPU, RAM and system disk utilization)
- See data refreshed live while the UI is open or on-demand
- See all running processes on a machine, including their CPU and RAM utilization
- Sort by CPU/memory utilization to see top offenders for performance issues
- Kill a specific process with one button
- See all services on the endpoint, including their current status and “startup mode” (automatic or manual)
- Start, stop, or restart any service
- See recent application and system crashes from an endpoint, to assist with asynchronous troubleshooting

- Verify that the latest version of the Tanium Integration Core application is already installed and configured.
- Note that if Tanium Integration Core was not already installed when you installed the Tanium Live UI application, it will have been installed automatically. If you have not already configured Integration Core, you'll need to run the Guided Setup and validate that it's been successfully set up before this app will function, as this app relies on Integration Core's APIs.
- Tanium Integration Core (and associated documentation) can be found at the following URL. However, manually installing it should not be necessary. If you did not have the app installed already, it should have been installed when you installed the Live UI app.
