The IP Fabric Integration is a scoped ServiceNow application that imports data from an IP Fabric instance into the ServiceNow CMDB.
The application is designed to:
- collect data from the IP Fabric API,
- optionally route traffic through a MID Server when direct access is not possible,
- build datasets inside ServiceNow,
- transform and reconcile the imported records,
- load the resulting configuration items into the CMDB,
- provide a guided setup experience,
- support scheduled imports,
- expose a report dashboard for operational visibility.
IP Fabric’s ServiceNow integration was built by network engineers, for network engineers to:
-
Import data from all on-prem devices, cloud devices, interfaces, adapters, and L2–L3 links via the IP Fabric API (or a MID server if preferred).
-
Map every device, connection, and configuration in your network to the correct CMDB CI classes using standard ServiceNow transformation rules.
-
Compare your ServiceNow CMDB against your imported IP Fabric data to get a breakdown of inventory overlap and impact summaries, as well as an overall trust score.
-
Schedule imports according to your preferred cadence.
-
View reports in a customizable dashboard.
