The Enterprise Modeling and Visualization functionality in Enterprise Architecture Workspace helps you with diagramming and modeling capabilities. It enables you to model the future state of your IT business applications to assess the impact of proposed business application changes, evaluate different scenarios, and identify potential risks before implementing application strategies.
- For existing business applications, you can create business application hierarchy diagrams and save them as an existing architectural artifact or a new one.
- You can create diagrams to determine complex enterprise application structures, processes, and their relationships.
- Create modeling diagrams using predefined shapes for Business hierarchy map and Business capability map

- Create diagrams from the Business Application view using the Create diagram menu option
- In Business hierarchy map, add related records (CI relationships or reference) within the diagram
- Save a draft diagram and submit it for approval
- Share your diagrams with the other users or groups and define their access levels for the diagram
- Synchronize shapes and relationships between multiple configuration items to the repository once it is approved
- Save as a new version or duplicate the diagram
- Configure access for Enterprise Modeling and Visualization menu items for roles, users, and groups
- Added support for industry-standard ArchiMate® shapes and ArchiMate® relationship types to create modeling diagrams. (ArchiMate® is a registered trademark of The Open Group)
- Apply colors to business capability shapes in the capability hierarchy map
- From the ServiceNow Unified map directly initiate the modeling using the Enterprise Modeling and Visualization
